Participants were invited to submit posters under three distinct topics –

  • Original research
  • Case series / education exhibits
  • Interesting or rare case reports

The scientific committee laid out clear guidelines for preparing posters in digital format using PowerPoint with a slide limit of 10 slides.

Digital posters were displayed prominently in the virtual conference hall, with viewing access given to all delegates throughout the entire two days of the conference.

The posters were anonymized and judged independently by two faculty. The study’s aims, clinical relevance, originality, content, and presentation were evaluated. After a tough competition, 3 posters were selected for the prizes, and the geographical spread of winners from Srinagar to Thiruvananthapuram reflected the magnitude of the conference.

1st prize (cash prize of Rs 15,000)

was bagged by the poster titled “Doing it right for the right heart!!” by Dr Priyanka Garg from G B Pant Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, New Delhi.

2nd prize (cash prize of Rs 10,000)

Dr Vimal Chacko Mondy from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, for his poster titled “Hemoptysis in congenital heart disease: role of the radiologist”. Add title slide

3rd prize (cash prize of Rs 5,000)

Poster titled “Unravelling the mitral valve on CT” by Dr Vidushi Gupta from G B Panth hospital, Srinagar.

It is also essential to congratulate all the participants of the poster competition for their efforts and valuable contribution to the scientific endeavour of IACI in furthering the knowledge of cardiac Imaging in India. We hope to see you all soon in person in the next iteration of the IACI national conference in 2022 with much more scientific material and even tougher competition for the coveted prizes.
